Massage plays an essential role in our daily health and well being, providing many benefits including relaxation, improved blood and lymph flow, increased flexibility and assisting detoxification. As a Remedial Massage Therapist, I am mostly concerned with the restoration and maintenance of the soft tissue structures of the body, reducing pain and inflammation as well as increasing comfort and mobility. I use a combination of massage modalities (deep tissue massage, stretching, fascial release, trigger point therapy, relaxation massage, therapeutic exercise and home care) to assist clients with improved wellness. I offer relaxation, therapeutic and remedial massage:• Relaxation massage assists a client to de-stress and improve flexibility/movement of the body. The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles performed at the client’s level of chosen pressure. It is a pain free way to relax both muscles and mind.• Remedial Massage is used for specific issues/ailments such as muscle tension or chronic pain. The treatment itself may involve deep tissue work for short periods of time. Treatment techniques include but are not limited to:Soft tissue manipulationDeep tissue therapyTrigger Point TherapyMyofascial release techniquesStretch and strengthening exercises. At your initial visit I will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, analyse your posture and create an appropriate Treatment Plan.
