About Capricorn Sandstone Quarries

Our Quarry supplies sandstone to the commercial, residential, export and retaining markets both in Australia and overseas. It is a large 23 hectare sandstone reserve in Stanwell, west of Rockhampton. The owners have over 50 years combined experience in sandstone quarrying, processing and manufacturing.It is estimated that the quarry holds over 1 million m3 of excellent quality dimension stone, which gives the quarry well in excess of 100 years lifespan. The quarry contains 6 unique and distinct colour, some of which have been tested as restoration grade. Capricorn Buff and Heritage Rose are popular colours domestically while Brown Banded and Q8 are popular for export.All our standard products are available from Gracemere Fencing and Landscape Supplies on Old Capricorn Highway.
