YogaChiGungPilates is an integrated synthesis of Indian Yoga, Chinese Chi Gung, and Western Pilates. It aims to teach the ancient Eastern arts of Yoga and ChiGung and modern Western physiotherapy inspired Pilates in a way that is both safe and fun. It is based on a carefully considered understanding of body mechanics from a Western anatomical and physiological point of view, including an understanding of the effects of frequently repeated movements on joint and neural tissue. It aims to utilise safe movement patterns to foster sense of inner space, freedom from tension, and resilience in the face of life's challenges.YogaChiGungPilates was established by Dr Ben Gaffney who has over a decade of experience in each discipline and during this time completed a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in physiology, a Ph.D. on the topic of the Chinese herb ginseng, and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy.YogaChiGungPilates is located at Buddina on the beautiful Sunshine Coast Queensland, Australia.
