Kellybrook Winery was established by the Kelly family in 1970 and now has three generations of Kelly's involved. Set in a secluded little valley, it is one of the closest wineries to Melbourne. Kellybrook's rolling hills and bush are a pretty backdrop to the vineyard and give a lovely rural feel.
An extensive range of wines is produced at the Wonga Park property. Sparkling wines, using the traditional French method, are one of the specialities with the entire production process, including hand riddling and disgorging completed on site.
With a strong history in Australian cider making (dating back to the 1960's), the Kelly's make exceptional apple and pear ciders on the property, including the Traditional Method Sparkling Cider and apple brandy. Specialty ciders are available at the cellar door and the annual cider festival.
Recent expansion into beer brewing has lead to Riders Brew Co. being established by the Kelly's. The brewery focuses on expressive, small batch beers.
Tastings and sales available in the cellar door. Enjoy the open fire in winter and the garden in the warmer months.
Enjoy a wine, cider or beer and a cheese and charcuterie board on the vine-covered terrace or relax under the magnificent 140 year-old oak tree.
Regular events include Sunday Sessions (live music on the last Sunday of every month) and the Kellybrook Cider Festival in May....
