About Oakleigh Grammar Early Learning Centre

In November 2011, Oakleigh Grammar opened a new state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre (ELC).  This modern facility offers children aged two to four years of age, a light and stimulating learning environment.

The ELC features a Grand Piazza, newly designed playgrounds, shaded areas, bright furniture and stimulating equipment.

The kinder curriculum is based on the internationally renowned Reggio EmiliaApproach, a philosophy that is named after the town in Italy from where it originated. It focusses on helping children to realise and expand their potential through interaction with others and their environment.   Key principles in this philosophy are the formation of creative intelligence, free thought and individuality that is sensitive and aware of others.
